Mr Cloke offers the full range of modern upper limb surgical therapies. He has nine years experience as a consultant treating all condititons of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, following training in the North East and fellowship in Sheffield.
His particular interests are in shoulder and elbow arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) for rotator cuff problems and instability, and shoulder and elbow joint replacement for arthritis.
In the last three years, he has performed twice the national average number of shoulder replacements, and three times the average number of elbow replacements.
He completed an MSc in Sports Medicine (with Distinction) from Bath during his training, and has expertise in all sports shoulder conditions.
Mr Cloke is recognised in training, was regional Trainer of the Year in 2014, has been Associate Training Programme Director, and is an examiner for the national consultant examinations (FRCS).
He is a former member of the British Shoulder & Elbow Society (BESS), and is on the education committee. He is also a member of British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).
Mr Cloke has published several scientific papers and written text book chapters in his area of expertise.
He served in the army reserve for 19 years including an operational tour.
